What will we be learning? |
Topics will include:
* How we obtain energy * How we affect the environment by obtaining energy *The hydrosphere * History of Earth * Hazards caused by pathogens * Biotechnology *Evolution *How organisms interact with their environment *Matter |
How to set up your interactive notebook:
* Front cover should have: 1. Your name 2. The period you are in science 3. My last name
* On the inside cover you should have the INB Rubric. If it is not on the inside cover it should be on the first page.
* Your Table of Contents should be the next two whole pages (front and back). If you write bigger you might want to leave more pages blank.
* After the TOC you should be numbering your pages, Odd should go on the right side and Even should be on the left side.
*On page one should be your expectations sheet that you signed and your parents signed. You will get this back after I have marked them down.
* On pages 2 and 3 should be your Author pages, your assignment sheet should be on the right side and your actual writing should be on the left.

Station 3 Is density a unique property of a substance (stays the same even if the size/ amount of the substance changes).
Density = Mass/ Volume
1. Copy the following tables into your note book.
2. Calculate the volume of the blocks (lxwxh)
3. Using the volume you just calculated fill in the rest of the second table and then calculate the density of each substance.
